During my Spring Semester of 2025, I took SMAD 225: Photojournalism at JMU. For our final project, we have to create a photo story of any topic of our choosing.
I decided to do “A Day in the Life at Magpie Diner” in downtown Harrisonburg, VA. I spent an entire day photographing the staff at work to get images for this project. All images were then sent to the manager to be used on their social media platforms as well.
For the final product, we chose our six best JPEG images and composed them into an news article style template within Adobe Photoshop. We then presented our project to the entire class.
